Cabaret Du Ciel is an experimental electronic group from Treviso, Italy, founded in 1986 by Luigi Morosin as an ambient solo project. In 1989, Andrea Desiderà joined, leading to a new focus on electro-acoustic instrumentation. The duo released their first two demos, "Weather Colours" and "Raintears," in 1991. They began performing live shows that integrated music with video art, featuring abstract landscapes and colors, which garnered positive reviews. Their concept soundtrack, "Skies in the Mirror," was released on cassette in 1992. In 1993, a German producer encouraged the group to adopt a more progressive sound with vocals, leading to the addition of a new vocalist. This shift resulted in a more rhythmic style influenced by prog rock and alternative music. Their second album, "Blue Forms," was nearly completed in 1994 but was delayed due to the financial issues of the German label, ultimately being released in 2000 by an Italian label. In 2018, the French label contacted Desiderà to reissue their debut album, "Skies in the Mirror," which was released on vinyl for the first time and achieved international success.
