CACOPHONEUSES is an industrial techno project from France, formed in 2011 by Joséphine and Sandra. They explore and produce dark techno infused with industrial and saturated sounds. Known for their unique live performances that incorporate improvisation, they have captivated audiences since their debut at the La Fondation Sonore festival in Brussels in 2013, followed by a performance at Maschinenfest. In 2015, they participated in the Wave Gothik Treffen Festival in Leipzig. A significant milestone for them was performing at the TRESOR Club in Berlin in 2016 for the Female Pressure 006 event organized by DJ Kaltès. CACOPHONEUSES self-produced their first album, "Venus Voices," in 2013. They signed with the German label HANDS in 2014 and released their second album, "The Myth of Lorelei," which combines hearty techno beats with arcane soundscapes, drawing listeners into the duo's artistic vision. In 2018, they released their third album, "Chaos Theory," also under HANDS, and later that year, they launched an EP titled “More,” which carries a message advocating for more women on stage.
