Calender was a funk band from New Jersey active in the mid-70s, renowned for their proto-disco hit "Hypertension." The group consisted of two sets of brothers: John and Michael Barbee, and Gerry and Hurley Fair, along with members Stanley Haygood, William Jones, and Donna Ahjuder.
