Calypso King & The Soul Investigators, originally known as The Soul Investigators, are a Finnish band formed in 1997 in Matinkylä, Espoo, just outside Helsinki. They released their first singles in 1998 on their own label, followed by their debut album in 2001 on a New York label. The band members founded another project in 2000. Throughout their career, they have accompanied several acclaimed neo-soul artists and continue to release instrumental recordings under their own name.
