Cam Lasky is the owner and main artist of KWAIOTO Records, a dark bass music label based in Kyoto since 2017. He has consistently produced music inspired by novels, manga, and paintings, creating works such as David Peace's "Tokyo Trilogy" (comprising "Tokyo Year Zero," "Occupied City," and "Tokyo Redux"), and The Occupation Verse Projects, which include Yokomizo Seishi's "The Occupation Japan: Kosuke Kindaichi's Case Files" and Otsuka Eishi + Mori Mika's "Kijima Nikki." His projects also span the Japanese Imperialist Verse Projects from the Meiji and prewar periods, featuring notable works like "Yakumo Hyakkai," Akutagawa Ryunosuke, and Edogawa Rampo's "Pre-WW2 Akechi Kogoro Case File." Additionally, he has collaborated on The Bakumatsu Verse Project "Tokyo Hyaku" with Italian photographer Giuseppe Francesco to revive Utagawa Hiroshige's ukiyo-e "Hundred Famous Views of Edo" using modern technology, as well as Okamoto Kido's "Hanshichi Catcher's Book."
