Camayenne Sofas is a regional band from the Camayenne area of Guinea, originally formed at the Camayenne Hotel in Conakry. The band, which was initially a 14-piece ensemble composed of young students and musicians, was later renamed Camayenne Sofa. The original lineup featured members such as Bossély Keita, Mamadou Camara (M.C.), and Salia Camara, while drummer Papa Kouyaté and singer Ange Miguel eventually left the group. Jean-Baptiste Williams remained with the band, transitioning to solo guitar, while François Koïvogui took on the role of chef d'orchestre and Pierre Koïvogui became the drummer. The vocalists included Mamady Kala Camara, Youssouf Bâ 'Youyou', and Zézé Guilavogui.
