Campag Velocet was an indie-electronic-punk-rock band formed in the 1990s, known for their unique influences including cycling, fencing, and the film/novel "A Clockwork Orange." The lineup featured Pete Voss on vocals, Ian Cater on guitars, keyboards, and programming, Barnaby Slater on bass, and Lascelles Gordon on drums, percussion, and sampling. They released two albums, starting with "Bon Chic, Bon Genre" in 1999 on PIAS Records, which received significant acclaim, including being named "The Best New Band In Britain" by NME, and secured two performances on "Later: With Jools Holland." Their second album, "It's Beyond Our Control," was released in 2004 on Pointy Records but garnered mixed reviews and mediocre sales due to a long hiatus and a low-profile label. The band disbanded in 2005.
