Candace Love is a soul artist from Chicago, Illinois, who was active during the 1960s and 1970s. In addition to her music career, she worked as a schoolteacher in Chicago. Love recorded most of her material for the Aquarius label, which was established by a veteran in the music scene known for owning several labels, including Criss-Cross and Zodiac Records. She also recorded under the name "Woman" for another of Williams' labels, Shock.
