Capital STEEZ (born Courtney Jamal Dewar Jr.) was a visionary rapper from Brooklyn, New York, and a founding member of the hip-hop collective Pro Era. Known for his introspective lyricism, sharp wordplay, and spiritual depth, he helped shape the sound of modern underground rap. STEEZ gained recognition for his work on Pro Era’s early releases and his acclaimed mixtape *AmeriKKKan Korruption* (2012). Though his life was tragically cut short, his music continues to inspire a new generation of conscious and independent artists.
