Cappo, born and raised in Nottingham, is a prominent figure in the hip-hop scene. He began his journey in hip-hop as a graffiti writer and started rapping at a young age. By 1995, he was rapping daily and formed a two-man group, gaining valuable experience despite no official releases. His first significant live performance took place at the Nottingham Carnival in the summer of 1997. Since then, he has been a regular presence on the Nottingham scene, known for his ability to hold his own against both local and international emcees, aiming to perform at least once a month. In addition to rapping, Cappo has been active in music production. He released his 'First Knight' three-track demo in the summer of 1998, followed by the self-produced and self-financed 15-track demo album 'The Cap Tape Volume One.' This led to an approach from SON Records, a feature on Disorda's UK artist showcase 'Mind The Gap' series, and a four-star album review in Hip Hop Connection. Cappo's discography includes his first vinyl release, the 'Cap 3000' EP (SON 011) in September 1999, and contributions to notable projects, such as the track 'That's The Way It Goes' on the Lost Island album 'Forbidden Ground' (SON 014) and the posse track '7even' on the Mad Doctor X 'Project X 2' EP.
