Captain Barkey, born on November 5, 1961, in Jamaica, West Indies, was a prominent figure in the music scene, particularly known for his work as a DJ. He gained recognition by performing on various sound systems in Jamaica and established a notable reputation as a resident DJ with the Stereo One sound system. Tragically, he was murdered in October 2012 in the Bronx due to gunshot violence.
