Cap'tain Créole, originally known as Trenchtown Meditation, was a band formed in 1984. The lineup included Clément Jorite on drums, José Jabol on percussion, Jean-Pierre Juraver on vocals and guitar, and Serge Rullaud on bass. As a pioneering creole-speaking French reggae band, Cap'tain Créole aimed to explore new musical horizons.
