Car Crash Set was a pioneering electronic band from New Zealand formed in the mid-1980s. Drawing inspiration from acts like New Order, Suicide, and DAF, the band consisted of Nigel Russell (formerly of Spelling Mistakes/Danse Macabre), Dave Bulog, and Trevor Reekie. They were known for their innovative blend of electronic sounds, guitar overdrive, and feedback. Throughout their career, Car Crash Set released several singles, as well as one album and an EP. In May 2015, the original members reunited and reformed under the name Si Si Es.
