Carl Friedrich Abel was a German composer and viola da gamba player, born on December 22, 1723, in Köthen, Anhalt (now Germany). He passed away on June 20, 1787, in London, England. Abel was the younger brother of an unspecified individual. In 1762, he arrived in London and became friends with an unnamed person. Abel also befriended a young individual during their visit to London.
