Carl Maria von Weber was born on November 18 or 19, 1786, in Eutin, which was part of the Prince-Bishopric of Lübeck (now Eutin, Germany). He passed away on June 5, 1826, in London, Great Britain. A German composer, conductor, pianist, guitarist, and critic, Weber was one of the first significant composers of the Romantic school.
