Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach was a German Classical period musician and composer, born on March 8, 1714, in Weimar, Germany. He was the fifth child and second surviving son of the renowned composer Johann Sebastian Bach and Maria Barbara Bach. C.P.E. Bach played a significant role in the development of the Classical style, composing during the Rococo and Classical periods. He passed away on December 14, 1788, in Hamburg, Germany. Two of his brothers are mentioned, but their names are not provided.
