Carl Summers (born November 22, 1943) is an American singer, songwriter, and producer. He was a member of the band The Continentals and trained under Barry White in 1969. In 1974, he signed with the Enterprise label and also served as an alternate lead singer and harmony singer with the original Coasters. As a producer, he worked with Joe Tex, Edwin Starr, and Band of Gypsys for Haze Records. Additionally, he sang with DJ Rogers' Choir on Edwin Hawkins' records and provided background vocals on Edwin Hawkins' records and D.J. Rogers' albums for RCA Records.
