Carla Bruni is an Italian-French singer-songwriter and supermodel, born on December 23, 1967, in Turin, Italy. She is the heiress to an Italian tyre manufacturing fortune and is the daughter of a classical composer and concert pianist. In 2008, Bruni revealed that her biological father is an Italian-born Brazilian grocery magnate and classical guitarist. She transitioned into a successful music career, with her debut album selling 1.2 million copies in France. Bruni had an affair with Mick Jagger from 1991 to 1994, during which Jagger was married. She was then in a relationship with French philosophy professor Raphaël from about 2001 to May 2007, and they had a son named Aurélien, born in June 2001. The song "Raphaël" from her first album is about her relationship with him. On February 2, 2008, she married Nicolas Sarkozy, who was then the French president.
