Carla Patricia Morrison Flores, known as Carla Morrison, is a Mexican indie-pop singer and composer born on July 19, 1986, in Tecate, Baja California. She has gained recognition in the music industry, winning two Latin Grammys for her album "Déjenme llorar," which has been certified Gold in Mexico. Morrison released her first EP, "Aprendiendo a Aprender," in 2009, which was produced independently in a home studio in Tempe, Arizona. This debut album garnered attention and positioned her as a notable figure in the new Mexican music scene. Her singles "Esta Soledad" and "Lágrimas" were featured in the television show "Soy tu Fan." In 2010, she released her second EP, "Mientras Tú Dormías," produced by Natalia Lafourcade, which was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award. In 2011, Morrison began working on her first full-length studio album, "Déjenme Llorar," released on March 24, 2012, during the Vive Latino Festival. The album received critical acclaim, earning nominations for five Latin Grammy Awards and winning in the categories of Best Alternative Album and Best Alternative Song. Following the album's success, she embarked on the “Déjenme Llorar and Huéspedes del Orbe” tour, which included sold-out performances across Mexico.
