Carles Santos (July 1, 1940 - November 4, 2017) was a multifaceted Spanish artist born in Vinaròs, Spain. He was a pianist, composer, painter, sculptor, photographer, filmmaker, and performance artist. In the 1970s, he co-founded the Grupo Instrumental Catalán (GIC). Throughout his career, Santos released several notable works, including "Piano - Obres de Cowell, Cage, Webern, Stockhausen i Mestres-Quadreny" in 1977, "Voice Tracks" in 1981, and "Pianotrack" in 1984. His discography also features "Perturbación inesperada" (1986), "Carles Santos: Piano" (1988), and "Five Voices" (1989), among others. He was involved in various projects, including "Música para las Ceremonias Olímpicas Barcelona 92" (1992) and "Amores Cage" (2006). Santos passed away in his hometown of Vinaròs in 2017.
