Carlo Maria Cordio was born in Rome, Italy, where he began his professional musical career in 1970 at the Santa Cecilia Academy. He specialized in music composition at the Chigiana Academy and has had a diverse career as an international concert artist in both classical and jazz music, particularly with the Hammond Organ. Cordio received personal approval from renowned artists such as Jimmy Smith, Brian Rodwell, and Jackie Davis. He also pursued specialized studies in organ-pipes at the Papal Academy in Rome and served as a Hammond Organ teacher. His career as a composer, arranger, and conductor includes collaborations with major names in the record and film industry, including Universal Music Publishing Ricordi and Sony Music. Cordio has performed with notable film soundtrack composers like Jerry Goldsmith, Ennio Morricone, Nino Rota, Riz Ortolani, and Nicola Piovani, as well as with Domenico Modugno, for whom he made several arrangements and conducted his orchestra. Cordio composed and performed the Electronic Original Music for Federico Fellini's films "Prova d'orchestra" and "La città delle donne." He arranged the motion picture soundtrack for "Sunday Lovers," which featured stars like Roger Moore and Gene Wilder. Throughout his career, he has composed music for over 120 films, including "The House 4," "The Bite," and "Midnight Ride," showcasing his exceptional musical talents.
