Casa Fanti Ashanti is a candomblé and drum house of Mina, belonging to the Jeje-Nagô nation. Founded in 1954, it began operations in 1958 under the leadership of babalorixá Euclides Menezes Ferreira and Mãe Isabel de Xangô. The house honors the traditions of the Fantes and Axantes, peoples from the former Gold Coast in Africa, now known as Ghana, and has maintained its cultural practices since its inception.
