Cash Crew was a UK rap group hailing from Ladbroke Grove, West London, formed around 1985. The original members included Rakin da Authordox, also known as Trim, Champain, also known as Gravity, and DJ Loose. The group began as Trim and Flex from Mighty Ethnics before meeting Champain at a hip hop jam, leading to his inclusion in the crew, followed by Loose as their DJ. In 1987, Cash Crew released their debut track, "Microphone Maniacs." The following year, they put out their first of two releases on Vinyl Solution. They later signed with Scream, where they produced the classic track "Green Grass," alongside several 12-inch records and their acclaimed debut album, "Will It Make My Brown Eyes Blue," which featured the standout song "Ghetto Circumstances." After parting ways with Scream, they established their own label, Street Ministry, and subsequently signed with the French label Disques Vogue, releasing their second and final album, "From An Afropean Perspective."
