Casimir Létang, known as Kazo, was a Guadeloupean poet, singer, songwriter, and radio host, born on April 28, 1935, in Pointe-à-Pitre. He was deeply fascinated by music and poetry during his childhood. Kazo spent approximately thirty years as a radio host on Radio Guadeloupe, where he was a pioneer in promoting Gwoka music and utilizing Creole on public radio in the 1960s. He passed away in 1996.
