Nivaldo Gomes da Cunha, known by his stage name Castanheiro, is a Brazilian musician and composer born in Recife, Pernambuco, in 1949. He is primarily known for his skills with the zabumba drum and percussion. Throughout his career, he has performed with various artists and recorded in many studio sessions for artists on the relevant labels.
