Cat Mother and The All Night News Boys was an American musical group formed in 1967 in Greenwich Village, New York. Initially based in New York, the band later relocated to Mendocino, California. The group disbanded in 1977 in New York City. The personnel included William David "Charlie" Chin on guitar, Roy "Bones" Michaels on vocals and bass, Bob Smith on vocals, keyboards, and drums, Michael Equine on drums and guitar, and Larry Israel Packer on guitar and violin. Later additions to the group included Paul Johnson on guitar and Jan Ungar on bass and violin.
