Cecil Gant was an American blues pianist and singer born on April 4, 1913, in Nashville, Tennessee. He recorded his first single in 1944, titled "I Wonder / Cecil Boogie." Throughout his career, Gant released numerous recordings on various labels, including King, Imperial, Dot, and Swing Time/Down Beat. He passed away from pneumonia on February 4, 1951, in his hometown of Nashville.
