Cedric Brooks was a Jamaican saxophonist, composer, and musical arranger born in 1943 in Denham Town, Kingston, Jamaica. He passed away on May 3, 2013. Brooks was known for his unique fusion of reggae and jazz. In 1968, he collaborated with others for some recordings. He was a past student of the famed institution in Kingston and later became a member of the house band.
