Celio González was a Cuban singer born on January 21, 1924, in Camajuaní, Cuba. He passed away on October 17, 2004, in Ciudad de México, Mexico. González was one of the featured solo singers with a Cuban super group and left Cuba in 1959, never to return. He settled in Mexico and recorded for various labels across the continental Americas. Known for his interpretations of boleros, his recording career spanned until the 1980s. He was affectionately nicknamed "El flaco de oro" (The Golden Skinny) and "El Satanás de Cuba" (Satan Of Cuba).
