Celio Gonzalez was a Cuban singer born on January 21, 1924, in Camajuaní, Cuba. He passed away on October 17, 2004, in Ciudad de México, Mexico. Known for his work as a featured solo singer with a Cuban super group, Gonzalez left Cuba in 1959 and settled in Mexico, where he recorded for various labels across the continental Americas. He gained recognition as a prominent interpreter of boleros, and his recording career spanned until the 1980s. Throughout his life, he was affectionately nicknamed "El flaco de oro" (The Golden Skinny) and "El Satanás de Cuba" (Satan Of Cuba).
