Cerrone is a French disco-electro songwriter, producer, label manager, arranger, and drummer, born on May 24, 1952, in Vitry-sur-Seine, Paris, France. At the age of 18, he became the musical director of the "Club Mediterranée" vacation clubs and holiday resorts. In 1972, he formed and led a group that achieved several hits and secured a lucrative contract with a French label. Cerrone went solo in 1976 and created another group that he still manages. Since then, he has released over 25 solo albums, including soundtracks. Alongside other influential artists, Cerrone is recognized as one of the most pivotal figures of the Euro disco sound.
