César Costa, born on August 13, 1941, in Mexico City, is one of the pioneer Mexican Rock 'n Roll singers. He was an original member of a group formed in 1958, which changed its name to Los Camisas Negras the following year. By 1961, Costa became a solo artist and made his acting debut in the movie “Juventud Rebelde” the following year. He has successfully combined his acting and singing career ever since. He is commonly referred to as “El chico del sweater” (The Sweater Kid) due to his frequent use of sweaters.
