Chairlift was an American synth pop band formed in 2005 by Caroline Polachek and Aaron Pfenning in Boulder, Colorado. In 2007, after relocating to Brooklyn, New York, Patrick Wimberly joined the group. Aaron Pfenning left the band in 2010, and Chairlift continued as a duo until they announced their disbandment in December 2016.
