Chamaco Dominguez was a Mexican composer and bandleader, born on January 4, 1921, in San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas. He passed away on May 17, 1985, in Mexico City. His parents were Abel Ramirez Dominguez and Amalia Moreno Dominguez Borras. Chamaco had two brothers who were also recognized musicians and composers, and together with him, they were founding members of the Society of Authors and Composers of Mexico (SACM). One of his most popular compositions is "Miénteme" (Lie to Me).
