Charalambides is an American duo consisting of Tom and Christina Carter, known for their extended guitar and voice compositions and improvisations. The duo was formed in Houston, Texas in 1991 and later relocated to Austin, Texas in 1997. Over the years, their lineup has evolved through various configurations. From 1993 to 1996, they performed and recorded with guitarist Jason Bill, who later joined the Arizona duo Migrantes. Since 2000, the lineup has included steel guitarist Heather Murray, previously of Ash Castles On The Ghost Coast.
