Chari Chari is a Japanese electronic project created by Kaoru Inoue. He began his DJ career in small clubs in Tokyo in the early 1990s, influenced by Acid Jazz, and gained recognition after participating in the compilation "Listen Up" in 1994, which aimed to fuse breakbeats with exotic sounds. Inoue released his second album, "In Time," in 2002 on Toy's Factory, along with the "Aurora EP" on Bonjour Records, solidifying his reputation both domestically and internationally. However, he remained absent from the music scene under this name for a significant period. In 2013, a collection of rare tracks was released as a limited LP by 5ive (cos/mes)'s label "Snaker." Chari Chari made a return in 2014 as a live band, performing at the RA festival in Tokyo, and released the 12" EP "Fading Away / Luna de Lobos" in 2016 on his independent label, Seeds And Ground. After an 18-year hiatus, Chari Chari released the third album, "We Hear The Last Decades Dreaming," in 2020.
