Charlene & The Soul Serenaders was a musical group from Alabama, featuring Charlene Southern as the lead vocalist. They released a single in 1970, but their time in the spotlight was short-lived. By the time their 45 was marketed to Stax through intermediary Jimmy Johnson, Charlene was pregnant, leading her and her husband to leave the group.
