Charles Aznavour was a French-Armenian singer, songwriter, actor, public activist, and diplomat, born on May 22, 1924, in Paris. He passed away on October 1, 2018, in Mouriès, France, at the age of 94. His career spanned over 70 years, during which he recorded more than 1,200 songs in nine languages. Aznavour was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1996. He was married from 1946 to 1952 and was a father.
