Charles Dickens was an English novelist of the Victorian era, known by his pen-name "Boz." He was born on 7 February 1812 in Landport, Portsmouth, England, and passed away on 9 June 1870 in Gad's Hill Place, Higham, Kent, England. Dickens is buried in Poets' Corner at Westminster Abbey, London.
