Charles Manson was a criminal and musician born in November 1934 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He passed away on November 19, 2017, in Bakersfield, California. Manson played a mix of styles, including acoustic, folk, and spoken word. He is infamously known for his connection to the 1969 “Tate-LaBianca” murders and other crimes, leading to his conviction on nine counts of first-degree murder and one count of conspiracy to commit murder. His death sentence, issued in 1971, was commuted to life imprisonment in 1972 when California temporarily abolished the death penalty.
