Charles-Marie Widor (21 February 1844 – 12 March 1937) was a French organist, composer, and pedagogue, born in Lyon. He was the son of a prolific organ builder (1811–1899) and became the titular organist at Saint-Sulpice Church in 1870. Widor is known for composing ten symphonies for organ.
