Charlie & Esdor was a Swedish progg music duo formed in the late 1960s, consisting of Norwegian Esdor Jensen and Swedish drummer Edmund "Charlie" Franzén. Jensen, originally the bassist for the band DeCoys in Tromsø, Norway, moved to Katrineholm, Sweden, in 1969, where he met Franzén, who was learning to play the sitar at the time. The duo performed at the Gärdet festivals in Stockholm in 1970 and released their psychedelic single "Då klagar mina grannar / Dagen är över" that same year. Under the initiative of Larsson, the duo added a guitarist for an album recording, but the project was never completed, and the recordings were lost. In 1972, they released the EP "iGrönt är skönt," which featured three songs from the abandoned album and an unreleased single. Charlie & Esdor collaborated with Summanen and Larsson on his second single and provided background vocals for the band on the hit "Almarna åt folket" in 1971. They briefly joined a band from Södertälje but left shortly after without recording any material. Franzén later transitioned to a different genre by joining a pop group. In 2005, all available material by Charlie & Esdor was reissued on CD by Mellotronen. After their musical endeavors, Franzén remained in Katrineholm, while Jensen returned to Tromsø.
