Charlotte Dada, known as "The Girl with the Golden Voice," began her career in the early 1960s with the Uhuru Dance Band. She also collaborated with Franco and the Walking Shadows before establishing herself as a freelance solo artist. Throughout her career, she recorded with Stan Plange and his Experimental Group from the Uhuru Dance Band, as well as with the Britain-based group, the Cool Blaze.
