Charol is a band founded in the late 1970s by Alberto Parra. Initially, they played progressive rock, but in 1980, they transitioned to the "new wave" movement, with Mai, Alberto's wife, as the lead singer. Although they were somewhat older than many of the pop bands at the time, they achieved success with their hit "Sin dinero," which led to numerous appearances on Spanish television shows such as Aplauso, Tocata, and Musical Express. The band also contributed to the soundtrack of Rafael Gil's film "Hijos de papá." Later, Alberto produced the album "Móviles."
