Ché-SHIZU (シェシズ) is an underground Japanese improv/folk group formed in 1980, featuring Chie Mukai (向井千恵) as a prominent vocalist and er-hu player. The group's sound is characterized by Mukai's distinctive vocals and instrumental style. Over the years, many notable musicians from the Japanese underground scene have been part of the group, including Tori Kudo, Masami Tada, Masami Shinoda, Yuriko Mukojima, and Ikuro Takahashi.
