Cheb Sahraoui, born Mohammed Sahraoui on April 1, 1961, in Tlemcen, Algeria, is a renowned raï singer. He draws inspiration from Messaoud Bellemou, the father of modern raï. Cheb Sahraoui is notable for being the first artist to export raï music to the United States and for forming a famous duo with Chaba Fadela.
