Cheryl Dilcher (Born 12 November 1946 in Allentown, PA - Died 26 February 2005) was a singer-songwriter and guitarist. She recorded four albums between 1970 and 1977, starting with her debut album, "Special Songs," released on Ampex in 1970, which featured Bette Midler on backing vocals. Her subsequent albums, "Butterfly" in 1973 and "Magic" in 1974, were released on A&M, but neither achieved commercial success, leading to the non-renewal of her contract. Dilcher's third album, "Blue Sailor," was released on her own Butterfly label in 1977, but it also failed to perform well. Throughout her career, her musical style evolved from acoustic singer-songwriter to rock, pop, and even funk.
