In 1989, he released his debut album, "Ride the Rhythm," which was later recognized by The Source magazine as one of the 100 Best Rap Albums. Chill Rob G gained international attention with his track "The Power," which was controversially used without authorization by a German group, leading to legal disputes over the song's rights. After a period away from the music scene, he returned in 2022 with the album "Empire Crumbles," marking a new chapter in his career.
