Chocolate Bam Boo, also known as Nubian Crackers, is a hip-hop duo hailing from Queens, New York. The group consists of Prince Quick Mix (Manuel Napuri) and The Undercover Brother (Victor Piagneri). They gained popularity in the 90s with hits like “Do the James,” “Two for the Time,” and “Test The Rocket Launcha.” Their influence was felt across New York hip-hop radio, with their tracks frequently featured on various volumes of Cracker Beats, including those by Red Alert, Awesome Two, and Stretch Armstrong. The Nubian Crackers are known for their underground anthems and Raw Break Beats, which have earned them legendary status within the hip-hop community. They were nominated for having “The Phattest Kick Drum in Hip Hop” by Digital Underground and have been sampled by many notable artists, including Notorious B.I.G., Wyclef Jean, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, and P Diddy.
