Chrissie Hynde is a post-punk singer-songwriter born on September 7, 1951, in Akron, Ohio, USA. She has been the lead vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter for the group The Pretenders since 1978. In addition to her work with the band, she frequently collaborates with other artists across various musical fields, including dance. Chrissie was married from 1984 to 1990.
